IRC Oper Classes

An important part of the Teaching Team....

is the instruction that opers receive for maintaining the network in a courteous and structured manner. Having a solid comprehension of the AUP is critical and our users should feel comfortable about approaching an Oper at any time with inquiries pertaining to it. Solid grasps on server upkeep and linking, services commands (chanserv, nickserv and memoserv), and showing a genuine mannerism of equality with our users is what Serenity-IRC is all about.

The best way to ask to be an IRCop is *NOT to ask to be one*. If the Network is in need of IRCops and hiring new ones, they will usually look towards friendly helpful chatters on the network. Chatters who repeatedly *IRCop Beg* have (very) little chance to be invited to join staff.
